Create a PDF in your browser, from scratch
You need a clean PDF and you do not want to upload your draft to a stranger's server. SlimDoc is a document editor that runs entirely in your browser: you type on real A4 pages, watch them break automatically as you write, then export a print-perfect PDF in one click. Nothing is uploaded, there is no account, and your document never leaves your device.
Why SlimDoc for pdf
Your draft never leaves your device
SlimDoc runs entirely in your browser. There is no upload, no server round-trip, and no account. You can even work offline. The PDF is built locally, so a confidential letter or contract stays on your machine the whole time.
Real A4 pages, not a guess
You write on true A4 pages (210x297mm) in WYSIWYG. Live pagination adds page breaks automatically as you type, so what you see is exactly what prints. No surprise reflow when you export.
One click from page to PDF
Export to PDF uses your browser's native print dialog, so the output is faithful: backgrounds, headers, footers and page numbers all resolve correctly. Nothing to install, no extra tools, no watermark.
What you can do
- True A4 pages with live, automatic page breaks as you type
- Headers and footers pinned to every page, plus "Page X of Y" page numbers
- Insert images from your device and resizable tables with header rows
- Rich text: H1-H4 headings, bold, italic, color, lists, blockquotes, code blocks
- One-click Print to PDF through the browser's native dialog
- Saves one self-contained .html file that re-opens straight into the editor
How to make it
Open the editor and start typing
Open SlimDoc in your browser and start writing on a blank A4 page. Add H1-H4 headings, bold and italic text, lists, blockquotes, links and tables. As you fill the page, SlimDoc breaks it into new pages automatically.
Add structure: headers, page numbers, images
Pin a header or footer to the page edge so it repeats everywhere. Insert "Page X of Y" page numbers, drop in images from your device, and add tables with resizable columns. Pick a margin preset and font that fit the document.
Export to PDF
Switch to Preview to check the finished pages, then click Print and choose "Save as PDF" in your browser's print dialog. Backgrounds, headers, footers and page numbers all come through. Save the editable .html alongside it so you can reopen and edit later.
Frequently asked
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. SlimDoc runs entirely in your browser. There is no upload and no server processing, so your document stays on your device. It even works offline.
Do I need to install anything or create an account?
No. There is nothing to install and no sign-up. Open the page in a modern browser and start typing. It is free and there is no watermark on the output.
How do I turn my document into a PDF?
Click Print and choose "Save as PDF" in your browser's native print dialog. SlimDoc lays out real A4 pages, so the PDF is print-perfect with backgrounds, headers, footers and page numbers all resolved.
Can I add page numbers, headers and footers?
Yes. You can pin a header and/or footer to the page edge, style each one, and have them repeat on every page. You can insert "Page X of Y" (or just "X") page numbers, with continuous numbering across the file or a restart per section.
Can I add images and tables?
Yes. Insert images from your device (they are embedded inline, so they travel inside the file) and drag to resize them. You can also insert tables with a header row, drag-resizable columns and per-cell editing.
Can I save my work and edit it again later?
Yes. SlimDoc saves one self-contained .html file with all styling inlined. It opens and prints correctly in any browser, and re-opens straight back into the editor so you can keep editing. There is no proprietary format.
